DBE Top Region Tournament
28 bowlers travelled to Gedling Indoor Bowls Club for the 2018 DBE Top Region Tournament on Sunday 8th April.
The tournament was played on a round robin basis with 2 bowls fours and 3 bowl triples. 2 points awarded for a win, 1 point for a draw plus 1 bonus point for a win on both rinks. Teams were allowed to re-shuffle positions within their rink before the next game but NOT during a game.

West 1: Lead – Khalila Hussain; 2 – Mike Robins; 3 – Chris Richards; Skip – Bob Love
West 2: Lead – Ray Smith; 2 – Brian King; Skip – Mac Otton, Captain
South 1: Lead – Barry Jones; 2 – Keith Haggerwood; 3 – Shaun Stubbs; Skip – Steve Ireland
South 2: Lead – Paul Hawkes; 2 – Ray Cross; Skip – Jonathan Stokes, Captain
East went into early lead winning on both their rinks in the first session so gaining a bonus point. They were still in the lead after the second round but in the last session the North and the South gained valuable bonus points.
