Howard Park Bowls Club Open Day – Sunday 13th May 2018
Howard Park Bowls Club held an Open Day on 13th May with a view to attract new members and were delighted when Disability Bowls England Members, Andrew Taylor and wife Caroline, agreed to attend and give their support.
Andrew & Caroline worked with people on the green and did a fantastic job of explaining how accessible bowls can.
The Club were appreciative of their input and one of the officials emailed to say “I work for Shopmobiility in Basingstoke as a volunteer and I have some expertise of people who are less able. I must say that Andrew was an inspiration and I learnt a great deal from him and Caroline which I will carry over to any new members”.
Disability Bowls England is pleased to support clubs keen to expand or introduce opportunities for people with disabilities and we wish Howard Park good luck for the future.
