Looking back at Commonwealth Games 2014

As we launch 2022 we start this exciting year by looking back at Commonwealth Games 2014.

As we launch 2022 the year of “Bowlers with a Disability” and a massive year to showcase the truly inclusive sport of bowls who are great bowlers with equal ability, to a worldwide audience with the EIBA National Championships, Indoor & outdoor Para Home Nations hosted by England, Commonwealth Games 2022 at Royal Leamington Spa, and the Bowls England National Championships.

We start this exciting year by looking back at Commonwealth Games 2014 in Glasgow which really raised our profile on the World stage thanks to Bob Love, Dave Fisher & Paul Brown winning a Bronze medal in the Para Triples.

  1. I’m a disabled bowler from St Austell in Cornwall, I’ve got a shortened right leg with a fused right ankle so am finding it hard getting used to changing the way I deliver my woods. I’m interested in finding out how I can get assessed to compete in disabled bowls as being in Cornwall there doesn’t seem to be any way of doing it. Some advice would be much appreciated.
