Chairpersons message,
Thankyou for everyone who replied to my last newsletter and its very clear what direction of travel the DBE needs to go over the next few years and I will raise all the points and our suggested solutions at the Combined Trustees & Board Members at our September meeting.
I am very pleased that the way the outdoor season has gone this year and its so good to hear about all our members who will be representing there clubs, counties and DBE at the Bowls England National Championships in August/September and I am looking forward to supporting you during the Championships and of course our great Maggy Smith MBE North v South Shield Challenger on Saturday 27 August.
This year you will see a different DBE type of stand and we will be in the Club Zone with Bowl England, Bowls Development Alliance, Coach Bowls and the Green keepers so please come along and say hello and support your fellow members and showcase how truly inclusive our sport is.
Last but not least I would like to wish Helen Wall and the Team England Para Team Squad all the best during the Commonwealth Games, and I am looking forward to 10 days of great bowling from everyone involved in this once in a lifetime home games.
If my heart can take it, I look forward to see you around Royal Leamington Spa greens sometime over the next two months!!!
