Chairpersons message,
Another month has passed, and things are still very busy at the coalface of DBE, we had a fabulous Taster Day at Bromley IBC, the High-Performance review working Group has reported back to the Board of Trustees and we have accepted their recommendations and I would like to thank them all for a great & honest job, the Web site has been updated with the latest information.
Colin Wagstaff has been appointed in the DBE Lead Ambassador and will join the Management Committee and I sure like me; think he is the right person for this new role and help Judy continue and push forward on the success we have had in 2022 to showcase DBE across all 35 Counties.
I attended the Bowls England County Conference in Coventry and DBE was well received by all 35 Counties and congratulated on the work we are doing to make our spot truly inclusive. Helen Lewis-Wall was at the BE Dinner on Saturday night and joined in the Commonwealth Games Q&A panel and spoke very well about DBE & CWG para squad. I also attend on Sunday, the IBD General assembly and the BE Performance Summit with others to discuss a number of key areas that would influence the High Performance Programme.
One is for certain; all the hard work has paid off and “We are on the World Stage for Good”
“We are Stronger Together”
Steve
