It seems a long time since I left my house on the 9 August to go to Leamington and then fly to the other side of the world for work and the World Bowls Championships followed by the World Singles champion of champions, it’s a rotten job I have, but someone has to it???

I am so glad that I had the pleasure of witnessing a fabulous showcase of inclusive bowls at the Bowls England National championships, and watching our pairs final being live streamed was the icing on the cake. Then history being
made at the first combined World Bowls Championships 2023 with Team England para pairs women opening the championships with a win against Australia also being live streamed around the world, the men’s pairs missing out by 1 shot on count-back and a hard fought bronze medal for the Mixed VIs pairs added to the Team England medal tally and 5th place overall.

Back home Dan Todner ran the Great North Run and raised over £1500, we have also received over £2000 donations from other events and organisations this month (maybe I should go away more), so it’s time to hit the beach and finally start my holiday!!!!

That’s ’hooroo’ from me, now where did I leave my sunhat….

Kind Regards
We are Stronger Together
