Selby Bowling Club was the venue for the Coaching/Taster Session held in the North Region on 22nd May 2016. The club made everyone welcome and their facilities first class.
13 Coaches and helpers from across the region gave up their day to put the players through a series of skills and everyone had a great time.
Drakes Pride had very generously provided Disability Bowls England with their range of disability aids which made an immediate impression. One of the players had given up the hope of playing outdoors but with the help of the “Bowling Arm” was able to deliver the bowls from his wheelchair and played in the afternoon match.
So in every respect the day at Selby was a resounding success.
