I hope like me you are looking forward to supporting the “Bowls England Big Bowls Weekend” from 28th – 31st May.
Here is how you find out which clubs are holding Open Days during the weekend in your area and I hope you will all be able to visit a few clubs to support them and showcase DBE that Bowls is a sport for all:
In the meantime, I ask that you log onto the Bowls England Web site and click www.bowlsengland.com/bowls-big-weekend-club-guidance/
Then do a search for Bowls Clubs within a 10-mile radius of your home address to establish who is taking part in the Big Bowls Weekend.
Make a list of which clubs to support and click on them to find contact details, so you contact them and offer your services on the day, maybe not choose your own club, choose others in your area, and take along a few membership forms which can be found on our web site and have in your back pocket if people wish to join the DBE or direct them to our web site for further information.
Once you have decided which clubs to visit, please send a quick email list of clubs you will be supporting to memberships@disabilitybowlsengland.org.uk and share your fun photos from the weekend on our Facebook page.
