North Region Taster/Training Day – 2016

Response to the North Region Taster/Training Day at York IBC on 1st October 2016 was a very positive one with 15 people coming to bowl along with 8 volunteer coaches and helpers.

North Region Taster/Training Day Group

The group consisted of some experienced and novice bowlers along with 3 people who had never bowled before.
During the morning session the bowlers were split into small groups and were coached according to their experience. After lunch everyone, including helpers and coaches, took part in a match to finish off the day.

The club facilities and restaurant were excellent and suitably accessible. Manager Ian Clough was very helpful and the catering was excellent.

Feedback from the group at the end of the day was very good. Everyone saying that they enjoyed the day and had found the coaching to be, well run, very informative and helpful.

All of the new bowlers joined DBE.

  1. Hello, could you tell me when the next meet is as close to Masham North Yorkshire please. I have many physical problems and play in my home town, Masham, but am finding it more and more difficult to carry on and am looking for help support to keep playing.
