DBE Maiden Singles 2018

Another excellent turnout at Gedling IBC, Nottingham on Sunday 5th May. The tournament was run on a knock out basis with first round losers entering a Plate Competition.

Alastair Domville played Harry Atkins in the Plate final. Harry took a commanding lead of 17-5 when Alastair regained his composure and forced his way back to win by a single shot on the 23rd and extra end.

Well done Alastair.

New member Dylan Morton was pitted against Ray Kirk for the Maiden Singles final. This was a very tight match from the very beginning with Ray claiming it was one of the best matches he has ever played and one he thoroughly enjoyed. Well done to both bowlers, Ray was victorious 13-11.

Apologises for no photos, our finalists seem to be camera shy.
