Helen Wood, York IBC, will compete in the Ladies Triples Finals at Melton Mowbray on 27/28th March.
Pauline Shanley, Sutton IBC, will play in the Ladies 4’s at Melton Mowbray on 25/26th Match and then travel to Nottingham IBC on 10/11th April to compete in the Ladies O50 two wood triples.

Disability Bowls England have announced their International Squad for the Home Nations Championship. The Championships are played at Newport Indoor Bowls Club over weekend of Friday 21st April to Sunday 23rd April.

Following member request, the next 2 regional events will not be training/taster, but will now be matches against the clubs + a taster session alongside the match for new players wishing to try out the sport.

The following players have been selected to represent Disability Bowls England in the Champion of Champions Event at Potters Bowls Resort between 12th-16th December 2016.
Disability Bowls England’s Paul Brown had a great night at the Bowls England Annual Dinner/Presentation evening in Coventry on 26th Nov.
Paul was invited by Bowls England to give the toast on behalf of the guests and was given a standing ovation after a powerful and inspirational speech.
BE President Michael Jennings outlined the highlights of his season which included the match played against DBE at Didcott BC and was delighted to announce that money collected at the presidential matches throughout the summer would be given to DBE, his nominated charity. He then proceeded to present Paul with a cheque for £7500.00
It was a great night helping raise awareness for disability bowls and Paul enjoyed the company of Bowls England CEO, Tony Allcock MBE, who along with Chair of the International Committee, Norma Hazzledine, presented Paul with flowers to be given to his wife.
