Project Profile – Sports for all in Sussex

Through the Just Bowl offer, the Bowls Development Alliance have been able to engage with Sports for all in Sussex and offer sessions based at Shinewater Sports Centre, Eastbourne. Player Profile – Bob Love

As part of Disability Bowls August, the month-long promotion of disability bowls in England, Disability Bowls England have prepared several case studies of current disabled bowlers. Today we are looking at an elite performer, Bob Love, who amazed us all at last year’s Commonwealth Games with his unique bowling style in that he bowls with his feet, which he has been doing for 32 years.

Disability Package Funding

One of the aims of Disability Bowls August is to raise the profile of disability bowls, to inspire clubs and individuals to develop the opportunities they currently have or to create additional inclusive activities. 2014/2015 Love Fisher Brown Award winners announced!

Launched in October 2014, the Love Fisher Brown Award set out to identify, recognise and reward organisations providing participation opportunities for disabled bowlers. In the subsequent months, fifteen entries were received from clubs, leisure organisations and care groups from across the country.
