‘Naughty Bowlers’ raise funds for Disability Bowls England

Bristol St Andrews Bowling Club toured Dorset over the weekend of Friday 10th to Monday 13th June, raising £100 for Disability Bowls England in the process, following a large number of “fines” from the members whilst on tour.

Home Nations Championship 9 -13 June 2016

Disability Bowls England sent an International Squad to Glasgow between 9th-13th June 2016 to compete in the Home Nations Championships against Scotland & Wales.

DBE (V.I.) v Royal Wootton Bassett B. C. – Match Report

Sunday 15th May 2016 , played at Royal Wootton Bassett
Fifteen visually impaired members of Disability Bowls England took to the green at Royal Wootton Basset on a beautiful sunny afternoon to play a five-rink triples match.  DBE’s V.I. Coach David Stott had organised the team following Royal Wootton Bassett’s generous offer of a charity fundraising event and, in total, over £300 was raised for DBE funds. Royal Wootton Bassett member Jeannette Maisey, herself a VI bowler, had instigated the game and she chose to represent DBE against her own club.

Plant Welding Triples Tournament Nottingham – April-May 2016

It was an excellent turnout for this year’s tournament with 10 teams of triples competing over two days. The entries coming from far and wide, Wales, Sunderland, Hastings and many more places in between. They included many different disabilities and familiar faces as well as several new ones.
