Disability Bowls England has a team of Ambassadors from different areas of England to help promote the Charity. The Ambassador Team is made up from players, volunteers & coaches and their range of skills help the charity engage with clubs, players & the media and make a valuable contribution to the development of the sport. They all have personal experience of the benefits of playing bowls and happy to attend local Club Open Days, Taster Sessions & Competitions to support events and chat with people about the values of the charity.
If you have an event coming up and would like one of the Team to attend, please get in touch with Lead Ambassador, Colin Wagstaff.
A DBE Ambassadors main aim is to:-
- Actively promote & raise the profile of Disability Bowls England
- Promote the positive value for disabled people playing bowls
- Assist & advise players with a disability to start or continue to play bowls in their area
- Encourage clubs to become inclusive and support disability events at clubs in their area
- Use social media platforms to share news, photos and articles that show DBE in a positive manner
Disability Bowls England would like to increase the numbers of Ambassadors and if you would like to get involved please contact info@disabilitybowlsengland.org.uk
